Reconquista is an Argentine city in the northeast of the province of Santa Fe, it is located 325 km north of the city of Santa Fe, the provincial capital, 220 km from the capital of the province of Chaco and 250 km from the capital of the province of Corrientes. Reconquista is the gateway to the “Jaaukanigas” Ramsar site, this is one of the most important in Argentina from the point of view of its biodiversity and the hydrological system it represents. Their name, in the indigenous language of the Abipones, means people of the water. It covers a sector of the flood plain of the middle Paraná River. It includes, among others, an extensive complex of rivers, lagoons, dams, seasonally flooded grasslands, riparian forests and islands. Rafaela is located in the Argentine Pampas plain. It is the head of the Castellanos department and the third most important town in the province of Santa Fe.
